About me
I help build families. Families come in all shapes and sizes. Families are formed in many ways.
I have practised adoption law in North Carolina for 30 years. Before that I directed a child placement agency and served as counsel to placement agencies — which means I have seen adoption from the agency side of the table as well as from the courtroom.
Advocate for each member of the adoption triad — birth mothers, birth fathers, and adoptive parents.
Experience
Cases argued before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. Service on adoption-related committees, and advocacy for legislative change in North Carolina adoption law.
